Construction design

The construction design is set up as follows:

1) Building elements
The building elements are based on the simplicity of the LEGO® system – and meet all current standard criteria – Minergie, fire safety, sound insulation and static forces – using the latest techniques. The costs of production can be balanced out by industrialized manufacturing. Through perfect connections and a flexible infrastructure, a sustainable base is set for the construction of the rest of the building.

2) Finished construction
The finished construction follows Stage 1 (OCTOPUS elements). Thanks to the use of a clear-structure design, this can be done in an inexpensive way, avoiding major potential sources of mistakes.

Production is structured as follows:

1) OCTOPUS elements: production and manufacture
The OCTOPUS elements will be industrially manufactured and finished in various standard models. Industrial manufacturing makes inexpensive production possible. Through pre-production of the individual standard models, the whole project will benefit from significant time savings.

2) OCTOPUS elements: production logistics
The OCTOPUS elements consist of about 12 standard parts. These parts can be pre-manufactured using a standardized production process and warehoused in appropriate amounts. As they have manageable sizes, they can be very easily transported and used for construction without the need of special logistics.

Industrial production integrates the necessary pre-fabricated connections for electrics, plumbing, heating and ventilation, and guarantees a high-quality standard through a large number of optimizations.

2) Through optimal and clear interfaces
These optimal and clear interfaces ensure that the craftsmen involved in the execution of the final building have very little room for mistakes.

Our modules will be built and produced on an ecological, sustainable basis.

1) Materials
We will try to use exclusively ecological materials, reducing the environmental impact on Mother Earth and working in harmony with nature.

2) Production and Manufacturing
Production of the OCTOPUS elements demands a unique manufacturing process, which will benefit from the use of renewable/eco-friendly energy. We are already setting up and implementing our own product development in this area.

Ecology

Flexibility

The new construction methods will provide unpaired flexibility in both production and implementation.

1) Production flexibility
The standardized modular construction method of the OCTOPUS elements offers higher flexibility than before, allowing us to speed the pre-production process. This favours a better balance between the demand of elements and its production.

2) Implementation flexibility
Advanced production methods will allow us to start producing at the same time as the planning application is submitted. The period before the planning permission is received can be used to prepare for the actual construction. This grants an exceptionally shorter construction time: a great innovation and an economic step forward. As a result, it should be possible to move into a single-family house no longer than 30 days after planning permission is granted (exact details are being checked).

Options currently offered by the banks are becoming harder and harder to withstand, as the financial regulations remove almost all flexibility.

We are working on a new financing that will allow people to afford their own home, again. Further information will follow.

2) A fund / Foundation

Bauweise

Die Bauweise ist wie folgt aufgebaut:


a)  Rohbau

Der Rohbau ist nach dem Legosystem aufgebaut und erfüllt alle Kriterien des heutigen Standards. Bereiche wie Minergie, Brandschutz, Schallschutz und Statik entsprechen den neusten Techniken. Die Kosten der Fertigung werden durch die Industrialisierung der Herstellung wieder ausgeglichen. Durch die perfekte Erschliessung und Infrastruktur, verbunden mit einer idealen Flexibilität, wird das Fundament geschaffen, um dem restlichen Ausbau in nachhaltiger Weise eine perfekte Basis zu ermöglichen.

b)  Fertigausbau

Nach der Stufe I “Rohbau” erfolgt der Fertigausbau.  Unter Anwendung einer klaren Struktur kann dieser kostengünstig und ohne grosse mögliche Fehlerquellen durch klare Schnittstellen erfolgen.

Produktion

Die Produktion ist wie folgt aufgebaut:


a)  Rohbauteilproduktion der Fertigung

Die Rohbauteile werden industriell fabriziert und in verschiedenen Standardmodellen gefertigt. Die industrielle Fertigung ermöglicht, kostengünstig zu produzieren. Durch die Vorfertigung der einzelnen Standardmodelle kann die Umsetzung von einer erheblichen Zeitersparnis profitieren.

b) Rohbauteilproduktion der Logistik

Die Rohbauteile bestehen aus ca. 12 Standardteilen. Diese Teile können durch eine standardisierte Fertigung vorfabriziert und in einem vernünftigen Masse gelagert werden. Sie verfügen über handliche Masse, können aus diesem Grund einfach transportiert und im Aufbau ohne besondere Logistik gehandhabt werden.
